About Don Johnston
“Don Johnston has been a lawyer for over 39 years. He has been a member of the Council of the APGO for over ten years, is Fellow of Geoscientists Canada and is the Honorary Consul in Ontario for the Kingdom of Belgium. As a lawyer he primarily engages in technology transactions (which have included nuclear, wind and solar) and public and private procurements. For some weird reason, he is an expert – possibly the only expert in the entire legal community – on the exportation of peanut butter from Canada to the U.S. He is also a reluctant expert on the law of electronic medical records and of direct short range communications for vehicles. He is currently studying the law of blockchain and has completed one course toward a Master of Science in Cryptocurrencies. When things go very, very wrong, he knows whether to cut the brown wire or the green wire. Don is happily married to Kristien, also a lawyer, and has at least seven children that he knows about.”
